OTTAWA –In an effort to understand what local law enforcement officers experience every day in their service, state Rep. Lance Yednock, D-Ottawa, joined the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office for a police ride-along this week.

“Seeing firsthand the sacrifices that our local police men and women make every day and their experiences is invaluable and incredibly informative,” said Yednock. “Every member of our local law enforcement puts their well-being on the line to help protect the public and members of our community. By seeing firsthand what our police officer and law enforcement officers’ experience, it helps provide me with more information as we look at ways in Springfield to protect members of law enforcement and ensure they have the proper tools and resources for their work in making our communities safer.”

For more information, Yednock’s constituent service office can be reached at (815) 324-5055 or by email at StateRepYednock@gmail.com.
