Mason Honors Longtime Family-Owned Restaurant with Business of the Month Award

ZION, Ill. – State Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, presented Charles, Mary and Bryant Duncan with a certificate to recognize their business Boonie Mac Shack as a “Good Neighbor” Business of the Month in Zion on Thursday.

“Boonie Mac Shack only recently opened as a brick-and-mortar restaurant, but the Duncan family has been serving Boonie Mac Shack barbeque at festivals, parades and celebrations in our community for over a decade,” Mason said. “Boonie Mac Shack was nominated for its longstanding commitment and service to our community. I’m honored for the opportunity to support and give back to Boonie Mac Shack as it has supported and given back to so many of us over the years.”
