SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, will be hosting a Small Business Advisory Committee to discuss issues directly impacting small business owners in her district on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Public Library, located at 101 Fairfield Way in Bloomingdale.

“My small business advisory panel is an opportunity for local job creators and entrepreneurs to inform me directly about the issues impacting small business owners in our community and perhaps even propose legislative solutions to the problems they are facing,” Pappas said. “With the new legislative session just around the corner, I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to best represent them and their concerns in Springfield. Small business owners are the backbone of our economy and it is only by working together that we can improve the state’s economic climate and foster a thriving business community in our region.”

Pappas’ event is free and open to all local small business owners and other residents interested in discussing policy issues impacting small business owners in the community. For more information or to RSVP, please call Pappas’ district office at 224-520-8838.
