GURNEE, Ill. – Local residents have the opportunity to share their ideas on how to get the state back on the right track as state Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, welcomes the community to submit their ideas for legislation for the upcoming 2020 session.

“I was thrilled to be able to bring community ideas to the Capitol this year and work in a bipartisan manner to make meaningful reforms,” Mason said. “However, there are still many issues facing the state. I enjoy hosting events throughout the community to regularly get feedback from my constituents because it is vital to me that the voices of our community are heard in Springfield.”

During her time in office, Mason has worked to build a stronger Illinois by fighting to fully fund local schools, rein in prescription drug costs and make health care more affordable. Mason is asking residents to share their ideas for new legislation to help Illinois move forward. Ideas can be submitted to Mason’s full-time constituent services office by calling 847-485-9986 or by emailing Info@RepJoyceMason.com, and must be received by Wednesday, Jan. 22.

“My job as a state representative is never over, and while we can appreciate the successes of the last legislative session, it’s time to work toward the next one,” Mason said. “I look forward to hearing more local ideas and working to build a stronger community and state as a whole.”
