CHICAGO – State Rep. Kam Buckner, D-Chicago, recently hosted a successful Holiday Open House for his community, allowing him to engage one-on-one with folks while enjoying some refreshments and watching families partake in the holiday cookie decorating station.

“The holiday season can be a busy time for everyone, so I appreciated having the opportunity to connect with members of our community,” Buckner said. “With the legislative session coming up quickly, I want hear directly from working families about the issues that matter most to them.”

Buckner has hosted multiple events to meet and speak with local families about the issues impacting their community such as access housing. Looking into the New Year, Buckner plans to host a town hall regarding the rise of sex trafficking and missing persons, as well as more casual sit-downs over coffee to continue receiving feedback from the community.
