ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – State Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is encouraging residents to review the 2019 edition of the Attorney General’s Safe Shopping Guide to help ensure a hazard free and enjoyable holiday season. Attorney General Kwame Raoul creates the guide annually to highlight dangerous toys, children’s products and household items recalled during the past calendar year.

“It’s important to be aware of the potential hazards that come with different toys and gifts in order to keep children, especially young children safe,” Walker said. “The Safe Shopping Guide is an excellent resource to help identify potential dangers, as well as refunds you may be entitled to.”

The Attorney General’s Safe Shopping Guide includes thorough descriptions and images of children’s products recalled this year – from popular children’s toys and games to children’s furniture, cribs and strollers. The easy-to-use resource can help families avoid recalled products on the second-hand market and items that may already be in their homes.

“I am appreciative of the Attorney General for putting this guide together every year in order to keep families safe,” Walker said. “I strongly encourage everyone to take a moment out of their day to review the Safe Shopping Guide and prepare for the gift giving season accordingly.”
