BATAVIA, Ill. –To bring local ideas to the State Capitol, state Rep. Karina Villa, D-West Chicago, is encouraging residents to share their ideas for new legislation to help move the state forward.

“I am proud to have passed significant reforms this year to help get our state back on the right track, but there are still many issues facing Illinois,” said Villa. “I continually knock on doors and host events in the community to hear the thoughts and perspectives of local residents because I believe it is important to ensure the voices of our community are heard at the capitol.”

During her time as state representative, Villa has worked to build a stronger Illinois through a variety of initiatives, including an increase in the state minimum wage and the state’s first capital investment plan in a decade. Villa is asking residents to share their ideas for new legislation to help Illinois progress. Ideas can be submitted to Villa’s constituent service office at StateRepKarinaVilla@gmail.com.

“I look forward to continued discussions on the issues facing our state and hearing the different thoughts and ideas of community residents as I continue my efforts to build a stronger Illinois,” continued Villa. “I encourage residents to share their ideas for new legislation to make a direct impact not only on their community but the entire state.”
