EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – To connect with residents before the start of a busy legislative session, state Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, will hold Satellite Office Hours on Friday, Dec. 20 and Wednesday, Jan. 22, both from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Granite City- City Hall, located at 2000 Edison Ave in Granite City.
“Before the beginning of a busy legislative session, I wanted to gather input and offer services to residents before I am in Springfield for a majority of each week,” Stuart said. “If there isn’t legislation to discuss, my office can also help with connecting to state and local services.”
Stuart holds Satellite Office Hours once each month for residents that may not be able to make it to her Collinsville office during normal business hours. Stuart’s district office provides a number of services to residents including helping with professional license applications, concealed carry or FOID applications, veterans benefits, college financial aid information and resources for job seekers and the unemployed. The event will be held on the second floor of City Hall in the Council Chambers.
“My office is a resource for residents, so consider stopping by the Satellite Office Hours for help with state and local issues,” continued Stuart. “I encourage anyone who has questions about state services or legislation to attend.”
