CHICAGO – State Rep. Jaime Andrade, D-Chicago, is encouraging local residents to share their ideas for new state laws for the upcoming 2020 legislative session.

“It’s important to me that I include the community in the legislative process so that I know exactly how to best serve them when I’m doing my work at the Capitol,” Andrade said. “I am always working to find better solutions to the issues facing our state, and I want to make sure that local residents’ thoughts to address these problems are heard.”

The 101st General Assembly will return to Springfield for the legislative session beginning in January. Individuals are encouraged to visit Andrade’s office at 3007 W. Irving Park Rd., Suite A-Front in Chicago, or call 773-267-2880 to share their ideas before Jan. 10, 2020. Andrade will review submissions, and may have them drafted into a bill.

“If you have an idea, please reach out and contact me about it. I am always willing to listen to residents’ concerns and do my best to work for the interests of the community,” Andrade said. “I look forward to working together with my constituents to address the challenges facing our state.”
