ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – To close out a productive and eventful year, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, and state Sen. Ann Gillespie, D-Arlington Heights, celebrated the holiday season with residents at their recent Constituent Holiday Party at the Arlington Ale House.
“Sen. Gillespie and I represent some great districts, and we thought it was important to thank our constituents for a great year,” Walker said. “I enjoyed talking with constituents, some for the first time, about their reaction to our work this past year and what to look forward to in 2020.”
Walker and Gillespie also collected canned and non-perishable food at the Holiday Party to support Northwest Compass, a homelessness-intervention center in Mount Prospect.
“Unfortunately, the holiday season can be a tough time for some of our friends and neighbors,” Walker said. “Helping those in need is so important, especially this time of year. Senator Gillespie and I are thankful for the many boxes of donations we received to support Northwest Compass’ food pantry, and we wish everyone a happy and safe holidays.”
