CHICAGO – State Rep. Camille Y. Lilly, D-Chicago, recently attended a local economic development roundtable hosted by Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson, D-Chicago, featuring Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and state Rep. Emanuel “Chris” Welch, D-Hillside.
“The government of Cook County has an enormous ability to positively influence the future of our communities by investing in health care and infrastructure,” Lilly said. “Building a stronger Illinois means that government at every level must come together to make sure our neighborhoods and our communities have a growing economy with high-wage jobs, infrastructure that supports jobs and businesses and lower health care costs.”
Commissioner Johnson’s local economic development roundtable featured President Preckwinkle, state Rep. Welch and local leaders discussing the county’s budget, health care operations and infrastructure plans.
