BATAVIA, Ill. – To learn more about the needs of students and schools in the community, state Rep. Karina Villa, D-West Chicago, recently participated in the “Principal for a Day” program at Clinton Elementary School.
“My experiences in a school setting as a school social worker, school board member and union member have given me unique knowledge that I have used in Springfield to be a strong advocate for our students,” said Villa. “I appreciated the opportunity to meet with teachers and Principal John Oliver to discuss the needs of our local schools. I will continue fighting for the resources our schools need to help our students be as successful as possible.”
