Hurley Invites Local Residents to Upcoming Community Events

CHICAGO – As the New Year quickly approaches, state Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, is inviting local residents to her upcoming community events throughout the month of January to meet with her and members of her staff to share their thoughts about issues they are concerned about or for help accessing state-related services.

“While I have worked to pass significant reforms to get our state back on track, there are still many challenges facing Illinois,” said Hurley. “I encourage local residents to stop by one of my upcoming community events to share their perspective on important issues facing our state, or to share ideas for legislation that could help move our state forward.”

During the month of January Hurley is hosting the following free community events:

• Extended office hours on Jan. 13 from 5 to 6 p.m. at her district office, located at 10400 S. Western Ave.
• Senior Tech Tuesday on Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at her district office.
• Coffee and Conversation on Jan. 18 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Starbucks, located at 7202 W. 119th Pl. in Palos Heights.
• Satellite office hours on Jan. 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Worth Public Library, located at 6917 W. 111th St.

“Hearing the concerns of local residents helps me be a strong voice for our families in Springfield, and there are a wide variety of free services available through my office, including help with applications for professional licensure and veterans’ benefits,” continued Hurley. “I look forward to continued conversations with the residents of our communities and discussing ideas on ways we can work together to make our state better for all that live here.”
