CHICAGO – To provide job opportunities for the community and connect residents with employers, state Rep. Justin Slaughter, D-Chicago, recently partnered with Community Assistance Programs (CAPs) to host a Career and Job Readiness Workshop.

“I am so proud of the great work that organizations like CAPs does for our community,” said Slaughter. “They provide an invaluable service for jobseekers who need more assistance before entering the workforce.”

Slaughter’s Job Readiness and Career Workshop took place on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in his district office, located at 1234 W. 95th St., and featured speakers from CAPs and other social service agencies. Attendees were given information about how to best prepare for job interviews and entering the working world. This event is part of Slaughter’s ongoing Community Careers Initiative (CCI).
