HANOVER PARK, Ill. – Continuing his work to grow small business in Illinois, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, recently met with members of the Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

“We have a diverse business community here in the Northwest suburbs and across Illinois,” Walker said. “Supporting our entrepreneurs is a key to building a stronger Illinois. The Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to that mission by ensuring that Hispanic business owners have a seat at the table.”

Founded to empower Hispanic businesses and those interested in the Hispanic market, the Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce represents over 20 businesses in the Northwest suburbs. Walker met with Executive Director Tia Juarez, member Eddie Quintana-Garcia, and members of the Board of Directors including President Elia Rodriguez, Vice President Mario Farfan and Treasurer Violeta Saucedo.

“Small businesses are our main job creators,” Walker said. “With more and more immigrants and entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds starting businesses and creating jobs in Illinois, we cannot ignore their voices and experiences. I’m thankful to the Northwest Hispanic Chamber for meeting with me and sharing their important perspectives.”
