ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. –To give back to the community, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is partnering with the Avon Cares Food Pantry to hold a Holiday Clothes and Food Drive from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6 on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at his district office, located at 1919 IL Route 83 in Round Lake Beach. Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and gently used or new clothing items to be donated to those in need during the holiday season.

“With the holidays fast approaching, now is a great time to give back and help others,” said Yingling. “Everyone deserves to be able to enjoy the holiday season, which is why I am encouraging everyone to drop off anything they can spare to help make the holidays a little brighter for someone else.”

During his time as state representative, Yingling has made it a priority to help give back to members of the community. He regularly brings services aimed at helping families to the district, including events to help residents save on their utility and property tax bills, find unclaimed money owed to them by the state, and get free flu shots and health screenings. Holding the Holiday Clothes and Food Drive is just one more way that Yingling is working to bring immediate and tangible help to area residents.

“When I am not working on legislation to help better our state, bringing services to help those around the community is my top priority,” said Yingling. “I look forward to continuing to hold events like my Holiday Clothes and Food Drive to help improve the lives of those in our community.”
