CHICAGO, Ill. – State Rep. Jaime Andrade, D-Chicago, will be participating in a Senior Fest hosted by Cook County Commissioner Bridget Degnen on Nov. 23 at Northside College Preparatory High School.
“This is going to be one of the largest events on the northwest side dedicated to providing services and information for senior citizens,” said Andrade. “Anyone in the area who is looking for senior resources, or wants to learn more about organizations in the local community, should stop by.”
Degnen is holding the event at Northside College Prep located at 5501 N. Kedzie Ave. on Nov. 23, starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m. In addition to Andrade, the event will also include 33rd Ward Ald. Rossana Rodriguez, 39th Ward Ald. Samantha Nugent, and 40th Ward Ald. Andre Vasquez, 13th District State Representative Greg Harris and 7th District State Senator Heather Steans.
The event will also feature prescription drug take back, document shredding, and electronics recycling, one TV per family please. Additionally there will be flu shots, and health screenings at no cost to attendees. In addition, line dancing will be provided courtesy of the Chicago Park District.
“I’m excited to help Commissioner Degnen bring these resources to Northside College Prep,” said Andrade. “I’m hoping to see a big crowd come out on the 23rd and see everything that our community has to offer.”
