GURNEE, Ill. – State Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, met with small business owners to hear legislative feedback at the Antioch Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Luncheon at Dockers North in Antioch on Wednesday.

“Before serving in the legislature, I did a lot of consulting work with small businesses and I saw firsthand that while owning a business can be a very rewarding experience, it’s not without its challenges. I want to make sure I’m always working to understand the concerns in our business community, and that I’m doing all I can to address those concerns in Springfield,” Mason said. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to speak with this group of strong, female business leaders and I appreciate their willingness to discuss how the enactment of recent legislation has impacted each of their businesses.”

The Antioch Chamber of Commerce performs regular outreach to encourage residents to shop local and support its member businesses. As part of the Chamber’s 2019 outreach, it has organized a variety of events, including its Arts & Crafts Faire, Champagne & Chocolate Holiday Walk, Antioch Taste of Summer and Wizard Weekend.
