ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – To help residents prepare for the upcoming insurance marketplace open enrollment period, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is partnering with the Department of Insurance’s Get Covered Illinois initiative to provide a free informative seminar to the community on how to receive affordable health care coverage through the state marketplace. The seminar will be held on Monday, Nov. 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mount Prospect Public Library, located at 10 S. Emerson St. in Mount Prospect.

“Choosing a health care plan can seem like a daunting task, but this event aims to limit confusion and help residents learn what options are available to them,” Walker said. “Everyone deserves to have access to high-quality health insurance, and I am happy to partner with the Department of Insurance to provide this vital service to our community.”

Attendees can speak with experts to learn how to enroll for health care coverage, how to seek relief if their rights to mental health services are violated and to answer any other health insurance related questions they may have. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Walker’s full-time constituent services office at (847) 794-1137, or by email at Contact@StateRepWalker53.com.
