ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Dedicated to meeting with and hearing from his constituents, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, recently hosted a town hall discussion at the Lutheran Home, a local senior living community in Arlington Heights.
“I’m grateful to have partnered with the Lutheran Home for this town hall,” Walker said. “We had a great turnout and an even better discussion about many important issues facing our state and concerns of area residents. We discussed many topics from pension reform to taxes and the need to make Illinois better for small business.”
Lutheran Home is a non-profit senior living community in Arlington Heights that provides services such as short-term rehabilitation, assisted living and skilled nursing. In addition to this event, Walker will host a town hall with state Sen. Ann Gillespie before the year’s end on Dec. 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mount Prospect Public Library located at 10 S. Emerson St.
“It’s important to give individuals an opportunity to meet with their representatives and share their thoughts,” Walker said. “I appreciated the opportunity to discuss how we are working to build a stronger Illinois by focusing on healthcare, economic development and infrastructure.”
