DES PLAINES, Ill. – With the recent start to the Affordable Care Act Healthcare open enrollment period, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, has announced he will sponsor a “Get Covered Illinois” seminar on Monday, Nov. 25 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Des Plaines Public Library, located at 1501 Ellinwood Ave. in Des Plaines.

“It is very important to our communal health that every resident has health insurance so they can have easier access to healthcare which we all inevitably will need someday,” Moylan said. “Without proper healthcare coverage, people might not receive the vital care they might need.”

Moylan will be joined by representatives from the Illinois Department of Insurance for a brief seminar to provide valuable information on how to enroll for health care coverage and encourage residents to sign up for health insurance before the open enrollment window closes on Dec. 15.

“Learning about the different options that are available for you on the health insurance marketplace can save you time and money, and lead to a better coverage,” said Moylan. “After all, having quality health insurance can prove vital to having a long and healthy life.”
