GURNEE, Ill. – State Rep. Joyce Mason hosted a community event on Saturday at Einstein Bros. Bagels in Gurnee. Constituents had the opportunity to share their thoughts and concerns with Mason while enjoying a cup of coffee and bagels.

“My work at the Capitol is based on what I hear from constituents back home, and I am very thankful for everyone who took the time out of their day to talk with me and share their thoughts on the issues facing our community,” Mason said. “Sitting down with residents one-on-one to hear about their passion for our community and what they care about is one of my favorite parts of the job. I am always thrilled to hear from so many different, energetic voices at events like these,”

Mason frequently hosts constituent coffees in a variety of locally owned businesses in the region, Including He Brews Coffee Shop in Winthrop Harbor, Daisy’s Artish Cafe in Lake Villa, Cafe Book in Antioch, and Callie’s Coffee Bar and Cafe in Zion. Mason’s Join Joyce for Coffee sessions give residents an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with Mason in a more casual, informal setting.
