GRANITE CITY, Ill. – State Rep. Jay Hoffman, D-Swansea, recently hosted a senior fraud prevention seminar in partnership with the Illinois Attorney General’s office, state Rep. Monica Bristow, D-Alton, and state Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville.

“Unfortunately, seniors are often the target of scammers and identity thieves, so learning to identify common scams is critical to help protect against identity fraud,” said Hoffman. “I enjoyed having the opportunity to bring this important service to local seniors to help them learn more about recognizing scams, fraudulent activities, and protecting their identities and property.”

Hoffman recently partnered with other local lawmakers and the Illinois Attorney General’s office to host a senior fraud prevention seminar at the Granite City Township Hall.
