ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. –To provide helpful services to his constituents, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, teamed up with the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) to host a Jobs Fair on Oct. 26 at the University Center of Lake County in Grayslake. Job seekers had the opportunity to connect with employers, network with hiring managers and receive information about resources for the unemployed and underemployed.
“I appreciate all of the employers, vendors and community members that helped to make our Jobs Fair a success,” Yingling said. “Face-to-face contact at events like a job fair can help both the employer and the job-seeker determine if they are a good fit, and I hope that attendees today were able to make some lasting connections.”
Not only does Yingling work to connect employers and employees, he has also been a champion of economic growth and job development during his time in the General Assembly. He has supported measures to stimulate economic growth, including supporting a bill to expand tax credits for small to medium-sized businesses. In his community, Yingling also visits with local small business owners, and hosts resume writing workshops.
