ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Local residents will have a chance to hear from state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, and other state lawmakers at an upcoming legislator forum scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 3 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, located at 1234 N. Arlington Heights Rd. in Arlington Heights.

“This forum is a great opportunity for residents to hear from their state legislators about important issues impacting the state,” Walker said. “This forum will happen during the fall veto session in Springfield, so it’s a very timely event to inform residents about what we’re working on and for them to share their thoughts and concerns.”

The non-partisan forum is organized by the group Policy Beyond Our Walls: Education and Response, or P.O.W.E.R., at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Also participating at the event will be state Sen. Ann Gillespie, D-Arlington Heights, and state Rep. Tom Morrison, R-Palatine. Attendees will also have a chance to speak with the legislators personally after the forum.

“This event will cover a range of topics and is bound to be informative,” Walker said. “I’m thankful Our Saviour’s is allowing us the opportunity to connect with community members and explain the exciting and challenging things happening in state government. I’m looking forward to a spirited discussion.”

Our Saviour’s is encouraging attendees to submit questions ahead of the forum at OslcForum@gmail.com.
