CHICAGO – Meeting residents at their doors to hear about state and local concerns, and introduce herself, state Rep. Lindsey LaPointe, D-Chicago, has been knocking on doors in various neighborhoods throughout the community.
“It is critical for me to hear what concerns and issues are on peoples’ minds, and I hear a lot about property taxes, school funding and the need for an elected representative school board,” said LaPointe. “I will always fight for our families’ needs, and speaking directly with residents will help me carry their message to Springfield.”
LaPointe has been going to door-to-door in the community to meet with residents and listen to their top concerns on issues facing the state. She is also encouraging residents to complete and submit her constituent survey to see the different issues and concerns that Illinois can tackle head on.
LaPointe represents the 19th District, which covers portions of Chicago’s Big Oaks, Dunning, Gladstone Park, Jefferson Park, Portage Park, Union Ridge and West Portage Park neighborhoods, and River Grove, Elmwood Park, Norridge and Harwood Heights.
