LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Mary Edly-Allen, D-Libertyville, recently visited third graders at Country Meadows Elementary School in Long Grove.

“I enjoy any opportunity to come into a classroom and talk directly to students. Our youth are the future who will change the world so I think it’s incredibly important to have youth experience from an early age that they can participate and be engaged in government for the change they want to see,” said Edly-Allen.

Rep. Edly-Allen explained how a bill becomes a law and answered student questions about state government and working in the state Capitol.
