She supported the new Property Tax Relief Fund to offer rebates to those claiming a homeowner’s exemption. Additionally, she voted for the creation of the Property Tax Relief Task Force, a bipartisan commission which will study the state’s property tax system and recommend further comprehensive solutions to addressing the state’s high property taxes. She has been appointed by Gov. Pritzker to serve on this task force.

“I am committed to continue to find ways to reduce the financial strain property taxes place on our community while maintaining the excellence of our schools and parks,” Gong-Gershowitz continued. “I encourage all those in Niles Township to attend my seminar so we can offer them the tools they need to reduce their property tax burden.”
