LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Maintaining promises to focus efforts on protecting the environment, state Rep. Mary Edly-Allen, D-Libertyville, has received a 100% rating from the Illinois Environmental Council for the 2019 legislative session.

“It is a great honor to receive a 100% rating from the IEC. I made a commitment to protect our environment and our natural resources for future generations,” said Edly-Allen, who is a member of the House Energy and Environment Committee. “Being recognized for this work drives me to keep pushing legislation that will continue this goal and protect our air, water and soil. It is especially important to protect our environment with federal regulations working to tear it down.”

The Illinois Environmental Council promotes legislation to protect natural resources and environmental best practices in businesses. The IEC focuses on legislation and education that will help make Illinois a healthy and environmentally friendly state.
