ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – As part of his ongoing effort to ensure middle-class families keep more of what they earn, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, will be holding a Utility Bill Clinic with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wauconda Park District, located at 600 N Main St. in Wauconda. Experts from the Citizens Utility Board will be on-hand to go over gas, electric, and phone bills in order to identify hidden fees and unnecessary charges that can be reduced to help residents save money.

“My main goal has always been to save families their hard-earned dollars,” Yingling said. “With middle-class families struggling as it is, the last thing that they need is for a bloated utility bill to squeeze their finances even further.”

Yingling has been a leader in working to help keep utility costs low for families in his community and across the state. Yingling introduced legislation that would crack down on unregulated utility companies that misled consumers by using the logos of regulated utility companies to trick them into buying unnecessary services.

“Keeping costs down for middle-class families is essential to keeping our communities growing and thriving,” Yingling added. “While I continue my work in Springfield to rein property taxes, I hope local families are able to attend this and receive money-saving tips.”

For more information or to RSVP, please contact Yingling’s full-time constituent service office at 847-231-6262 or email repsamyingling@gmail.com.
