SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Northbrook, collaborated with ComEd to offer residents a free Energy Efficiency Seminar to help homeowners save money on their bills and learn more about solar energy.

“Homeowners should be aware of the numerous programs that exist to help equip their homes with solar panels,” said Carroll. “There is a chance that at some point the solar panels installed on rooftops could generate enough power where those homeowners actually earn a rebate. In a time when everyone could use as much money as possible, ComEd’s programs could help.”

During the joint Energy Efficiency Seminar, experts from ComEd help reviewed with homeowners best tips and practices to save on energy and money, discuss an energy efficiency survey to determine if peoples’ houses can support solar panels and an automotive service from ComEd to assist with air conditioning. Carroll hosted the event with ComEd to assist local homeowners better understand solar power and renewable energy.
