Edly-Allen Brings Brookfield Zoo to Local Summer Camp

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Mary Edly-Allen, D-Libertyville, recently brought the Brookfield Zoo Animal Ambassador program to the youth campers at the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County summer camp.

“I enjoy the opportunity to connect local organizations serving our community’s children such as the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County by bringing the zoo to them,” said Edly-Allen. “The Brookfield’s Zoo unique ambassador program gives local children the opportunity to learn about conservation and our animal friends with interactive, hands-on experiences,”

The Brookfield Zoo Animal Ambassador Program brings the services and programs offered by the Brookfield Zoo to community organizations throughout the Chicagoland area. The ambassadors brought a red-tailed hawk, hedgehog, tortoise and others for the SRACLC campers to learn about.
