PALATINE, Ill. – To make sure that residents are not overpaying on their property taxes, State Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, accompanied Palatine Township Assessor Terry Kelly on Tuesday to provide a Property Tax Appeal Seminar to residents.

“Homeowners cannot continue to bear the burden of increasing property taxes, and providing property tax relief to the families in our community has always been a top priority of mine,” Mussman said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Palatine Township Assessor Terry Kelly in helping residents receive the tax relief they need.”

About 300 people attended Tuesday’s event held at Cutting Hall Performing Art Center in Palatine. The event began with an introduction by Terry Kelly as well as an introduction from Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi.
