ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – With property taxes continuing to rise, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, recently hosted a Property Tax Seminar with Lake Villa Township Assessor Jeffery Lee. Attendees learned about the property assessment process as well as how they can appeal their property values, which can lead to lower property taxes. With middle-class families struggling to keep up with high property taxes, Yingling understands how important it is to provide relief to his constituents.

“Taxpayers in my district deserve relief from the incredibly high property tax burden that is placed on them yearly,” said Yingling. “While we have recently made some positive steps in reducing the property tax burden, there are still many families that need help now. Educating residents on how they can appeal their assessments is a great way for families to get a break while I work on legislation in Springfield to cut property taxes for families and build a stronger Illinois.”
