LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Following a productive legislative session this past spring that included implementing a balanced and bipartisan state budget, state Rep. Mary Edly-Allen, D-Libertyville, is focused on connecting with constituents in her district by hosting several coffees through the month. Edly-Allen’s next coffee with constituents will be held Thursday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Deer Park Panera, located at 20530 Rand Rd, Suite 4480.

“As a legislator, I don’t want people to be afraid to express their ideas, concerns or issues with me,” Edly-Allen said. “I’m hoping by hosting these coffees that people will feel more comfortable talking to me so we can work together as partners to better our community.”

Rep. Edly-Allen will be available to listen to constituent ideas as well as answer any questions in a more personal setting. The event is free and open to the public. Rep. Edly-Allen aims to have these meet ups several times a month and urges all constituents to come whenever they are available.
