AURORA, Ill. – In an effort to continue meeting with residents from her district, state Representative Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, will be hosting a meet and greet on Wednesday, July 17 at 6:30 pm at Taquería Aurora, located at 645 N. Elmwood in Aurora.
“It is my responsibility as a state representative to listen to the issues and concerns that matter the most to my constituents,” said Hernandez. “Any resident of my district with a question about a state law or concern about the community is welcome to come have a casual conversation with me at this event.”
Hernandez invites anyone to stop by with questions or issues relating to recently passed legislation or ideas for improving the district. This event will be open to both English and Spanish-speaking residents, and is free and open to the public.
“Being able to meet one-on-one with members of the community opens up more room for discussions on the issues that are affecting our community the most,” said Hernandez. “This allows me to ensure that I can properly address these issues in Springfield.”
