GURNEE, Ill. – Working to bridge the divide between rural and urban Illinois, state Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, took members of Carroll County Farm Bureau on a tour of Northeastern Lake County on Tuesday.

“I’m always eager to take advantage of any opportunity to showcase the great things that are happening in Lake County and the aspects of our part of the state that make it so unique,” said Mason. “I was proud to show members of a farm bureau from downstate Illinois all that Lake County has to offer, and I look forward to traveling to Carroll County next week to get an in-depth look at life in rural Illinois.”

During Carroll County Farm Bureau’s visit to Mason’s district, the group visited Great Wolf Lodge, Gurnee Mills Mall, Illinois Beach State Park and North Point Marina.
