DES PLAINES, Ill. – State Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, will be hosting his annual Community Shred Day to provide residents with a way to safely and securely dispose documents with sensitive personal information, on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Juno Lighting Group parking lot, located at 1300 S. Wolf Rd. in Des Plaines.
“Shredding documents is a safe and secure way to protect the financial integrity and personal information of our residents,” said Moylan. “I encourage everyone in the community to stop by our event this Saturday so we can help shred and safely dispose any documents that may contain personal or confidential information.”
Moylan, who will be joined by state Sen. Laura Murphy, D-Des Plaines, asks residents to enter on the Wolf Rd. side of the parking lot, as the Algonquin side will be used by Juno Lighting Group employees. Attendees are asked to remember to remove all paper clips, staples and other bindings as they will not be able to enter the shred truck. Attendees will be limited to two boxes of documents per car.
