NORTHBROOK, Ill. – State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Northbrook, is playing in the Pucks for Autism hockey tournament this weekend. The event supports the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) Foundation which assists teens and young adults who have Autism.

“This is a great opportunity for me to play a sport I love while helping raise awareness for people with autism,” Carroll said. “This event brings more awareness to this disorder as well as the local organizations efforts to treat people, and I will do everything I can to help those in need get the attention and services they deserve.”

SEDOL serves more than 2,200 students with special needs in Lake County, with the SEDOL Foundation set up to help raise funds to ensure services to students in need of care. Carroll is a certified Special Education Teacher specializing in assisting individuals with ADHD and other learning disabilities.
