DES PLAINES, Ill. – State Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, is inviting residents to a Senior Fraud Seminar scheduled for Thursday, June 20, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Frisbie Senior Center, located at 52 Northwest Highway in Des Plaines.

“With all the scams targeting seniors and vulnerable residents, we need to be proactive and talk to our neighbors about ways we can prevent fraudulent activities,” said Moylan. “Our seniors who are living their golden years on fixed incomes need to be protected from these scams so they can keep their hard earned money and life’s savings.”

Moylan will be joined by experts in Medicare fraud and scams aimed at senior citizens. The experts from AgeOptions and the Kenneth Young Center will present information about best practices for seniors to prevent fraudulent activity, identity theft and scams. The event is free and open to the public.

“I encourage all residents, especially seniors, to take advantage of this free event,” said Moylan. “It is important to protect our finances, especially for seniors who are living on fixed incomes.”

For more information about the event or to RSVP, please contact Moylan’s full-time constituent office at 847-635-6821 or email staterepmoylan@gmail.com.
