Didech Holds Line on Middle-Class Taxes; Backs Fair Tax Amendment

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Daniel Didech, D-Buffalo Grove, issued the following statement after supporting the Fair Tax Amendment in an effort to hold the line on middle-class taxes.

“My top priority is to provide real tax relief for families and seniors that are being crushed by skyrocketing property taxes. While much more work remains to be done to lower the property tax burden on local families, the Fair Tax is a critical first step towards providing local families with modest tax relief as we work towards a fairer tax system.

“The Fair Tax will help put our state on firmer financial footing, allowing us to continue investing in our future and protecting vital services like health care for our seniors. I remain committed to standing up for my community by continuing to advocate for fair taxes for the middle class, an economy that creates high-wage jobs and making health care more affordable for all Illinoisans.”
