BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, will host a Property Tax Appeals Seminar in collaboration with the Bloomingdale Township Assessor, John T. Dabrowski, for all residents of Bloomingdale Township on Wednesday, June 5 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Public Library, located at 101 Fairfield Way in Bloomingdale.

“When talking to residents throughout the district, the number one concern they bring up is how unaffordable their property taxes are,” said Pappas. “Middle-class families cannot afford this financial burden, and I want to provide residents with easily accessible resources and information on how to get through the complexities of the appeals process.”

The objective of Pappas’ seminar will be to walk through the intricacies of the property tax appeals process prior to the assessment deadline, which is approaching in late June. Additionally, residents will be able to talk with Pappas about her legislative actions and the work that is being done to build a stronger Illinois.

“I hope all interested homeowners will attend this informative session with Assessor Dabrowski and myself to understand the steps they need to take to appeal their property taxes,” said Pappas. “I will continue to work with local community leaders and my colleagues in Springfield to find solutions to reduce the financial strain facing families across the state.”

For more information, or to RSVP, please contact Pappas’ office at 224-520-8838 or RepDPappas@gmail.com.
