SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is remaining in-touch with her community and promoting government transparency through numerous constituent events like the “Pastries with Pappas” event she held last Saturday.
“My priority is staying connected to my community,” Pappas said. “Time spent answering questions, hearing peoples’ concerns; that is an essential part of being a good legislator. Learning what people need helps me address their concerns. I’m focused on improving the lives of the people I represent.”
Pappas’s event was one in a string of her constituent meetings with the goal of staying engaged in the community, ensuring people are clear about the governing process and ensuring that her priorities match those of the residents of her district.
