BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is inviting residents to nominate a local business that does charitable work in the community as a “Good Neighbor” Business of the Month.

“The work of small businesses owners is vital to our community,” said Pappas. “Local businesses are a driving force in Illinois that stimulate our local economy, and many of them go further by assisting our communities’ most vulnerable residents.”

Pappas encourages the nomination of businesses that sponsor charitable events, donate goods and services to community organizations or take other steps to make the community a better place to live and work. Eligible businesses must be located within District 45, which includes parts of Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Itasca, Roselle, Wayne, West Chicago, and Wood Dale. Residents can obtain a nomination form by visiting Pappas’ constituent service office located at One Tiffany Pointe Suite G3 in Bloomingdale or calling 224-520-8838.

“The Business of the Month award highlights the efforts of local business that are committed to bettering the lives of area residents,” said Pappas. “I look forward to reviewing the nominations and having the opportunity to meet those individuals who have worked so hard to make our communities thrive.”
