SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, D-Glen Ellyn, welcomed Paul Friedrichs, Lombard Park District’s Executive Director, and Joe McCann, the district’s Director of Recreation, to Springfield on April 30 for Parks Day at the Capitol, the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ annual advocacy day.
“Our local parks provide us with beautiful green spaces where we can enjoy nature, watch our children play, and take part in sports and other outdoor recreation activities,” said Costa Howard. “Our park districts do a great job of maintaining our beautiful park areas and providing excellent sports and recreation programs for children and adults throughout the 48th District. I am proud to advocate for our park districts in Springfield, because they play such a key role in making our communities great places to live, work, and raise families.”
