GURNEE, Ill. – State Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, is seeking applicants for her newly established legislative internship program. The internship program is slated to begin in June and will conclude in August. Internship duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting with community outreach, event planning, constituent casework and general office tasks.
“While we were creating this program, I wanted to make sure we were offering a valuable learning experience that is open to all, regardless of an applicant’s financial stability,” said Mason. “After much careful consideration, I am excited to be able to offer three paid legislative internships.”
Each intern will be required to work approximately 20 hours a week. Any individual who has graduated high school or earned a certification equivalent to a high school diploma may apply. Individuals who will graduate from high school or earn a certification equivalent to a high school diploma this May are also welcome to apply.
