BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is hosting a District 45 Small Business Citizen Advisory Panel meeting on Tuesday, April 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Public Library, located at 101 Fairfield Way in Bloomingdale. All District 45 residents interested in joining the Small Business Citizen Advisory Panel, which will meet every other month, are encouraged to attend.

“Our small businesses are crucial to bringing economic growth and innovation to our community,” said Pappas. “I want to hear from our district’s entrepreneurs, small business managers, Chamber of Commerce members and all other interested individuals about impacts of current and proposed legislation, and how the legislature can better support the small business community.”

Pappas strives to advocate in Springfield for the District 45 small business community by hearing directly from constituents about their concerns and ideas. In addition to the Small Business Advisory Panel meeting, Pappas will also attend the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce State of the Village Event on April 18 and the Bartlett Chamber of Commerce Tables of Interest Event on April 24, while the House is on break from session, to meet more business owners and gather their input.

“I want to provide the community with an opportunity to have direct communication with their elected officials,” said Pappas. “I urge anyone who has questions, concerns or ideas for legislation pertaining to the small business community to attend the April 23 meeting or to contact me directly by emailing me at Repdpappas@gmail.com or calling my district office at 224-520-8838.”
