“While we can all agree on the need to address infrastructure repairs and understand that the city and state are doing what they can within budget constraints, it can be frustrating for residents if projects are taking longer than anticipated or not being worked on at all,” said Kifowit. “This event will help residents follow along with certain road construction projects to get a better idea of when to expect their completion.”
Kifowit will welcome representatives from the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and the cities of Aurora and Naperville on Thursday, March 21 at 6 p.m. at the Eola Road Branch of the Aurora Public Library to discuss upcoming and pending construction projects in the community. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Rep. Kifowit’s constituent service office at 630-585-1308 or RSVP@ILDistrict84.com.
“For those whose route to work or school is affected by road closures and lane restrictions, this event will help explain why delays are occurring,” said Kifowit. “I appreciate IDOT’s and the cities’ partnership is providing this important information to the public.”
