NORTHBROOK, Ill. – State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Northbrook, visited the Maple School in Northbrook to participate in their Career Day activities and inspire the students to take an early and active interest in civic activity.
“It is always an honor to help educate and inform our children about state government,” said Carroll. “Teaching them about the work elected officials do on behalf of constituents help to convey a sense of civic duty and responsibility.”
Carroll visited the Maple School to take part in its annual Career Day, held on March 1, 2019. The day featured volunteers and parents from a wide variety of career fields to share their experiences in their field, answer student questions and inspire the children to pursue an interesting career.
“The children of Illinois are what give me hope for our state,” said Carroll. “They are the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. I cherish opportunities to help them grow and learn about they can positively impact their communities, their state, their country and their world.”
