SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – To celebrate the untold stories of women living in local communities and to highlight Women’s History Month, state Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, will be hosting her 8th Annual Hidden Gems in Our Community meeting.

“I look forward to hosting this event each year during Women’s History Month because I enjoy coming together with women from our community to share our stories and perspectives as women, mothers and professionals,” said Mussman.  “I encourage local women to come and bring a friend to empower and celebrate each other.”

Mussman’s 8th Annual Hidden Gems in Our Community event will be on Saturday, March 16 from 10:00 am to noon at Friendship Village of Schaumburg, located at 350 W. Schaumburg Rd.  Friendship Village encourages attendees to take advantage of their free valet parking, as the front parking lot is small and may fill up quickly.  The meeting is free to attend and open to local women.  An RSVP is encouraged but not necessary to attend.

“I encourage local women and girls to join us at this special event to share their stories and hear those of our neighbors,” continued Mussman.  “Each of us has something special and unique to add to the discussion, and I hope to see you there!”
